So, each property owner is responsible for maintaining a portion of this area within their property lines. Code Enforcement Inspectors are not authorized to enter upon private property without permission from the property owner or tenant, and someone must be present to escort the inspector while on the property. Inspectors must view potential code violations from the public right-of-way, or from an adjacent property with permission from the resident.
