Description

Something needs to be done about the turning lane on Kempsville just before Aldi's grocery store near 1450 Kempsville Road. The turn lanes starts at the entrance to the medical offices and runs all the way up to Indian River Road. Most drivers get over in the turning lane back by the medical offices and ride the turning lane all the way to Indian River Road. In most cases they "fly" down the long turning lane with zero regard for the people trying to turn in to Aldi (they can't be seen because of the two lanes of traffic the people going into Aldi are trying to cross). What happen to the rule of not getting over into the turning lane until you are upon your turn. I have almost been t-boned multiple times because of this. Some markers or something need to be put out there. There are 4 driveways--one for the medical building, one for Aldi, one for Applebees and one for 7/11 that are flown by. There is no way this is safe!!! Every single morining it's an issue when the traffic is thick. I bet on average there is at least 1, if not more, accidents at this spot each week.
