The new traffic light here is backing up traffic because it is out of sync with the light at Indian River and Kempsville. In addition to being out of sync, it turn red for Kempsville traffic with no cross traffic and the left turn signal turns green with no cars waiting to turn left. The left turn signal stays green far too long with no cars turning left backing up traffic at the already congested area. Any traffic engineer that watches this light for 1 cycle can see the issues. Please fix!
