Your Service Request has been investigated. Please note that as per Section 23-50 of the
City Code, all property owners are responsible for maintaining their
properties, including routine maintenance of the Right of Way or public drainage easements adjacent to their
properties. This means that the property owner is responsible for mowing the
grass and removing litter, leaves and other debris up to the edge of pavement,
which also includes the curb line and swales/ditches. Your Service Request refers to an off road drainage ditch which is also covered under this code. If you have any questions, please contact Customer Service (757)385-1470 and refer to Service Request # 91526827.
