this is the way it is. I complained about new trees planted in the area between the sidewalk and the street at Level green park. I received a comment that the trees are slow growing I guess unlike weeds and will take years to do any damage and will be repaired then. WOW. The landscaping parks department need to look long term. They could have planted the trees by the ball park for shade to users. I guess that was too long term for shade. There are so many other places to plant trees that will never damage infrastructure. The excessive landscape area on shore drive a mile of overgrowth. They had to pull up the sharp holly type on Independence they planted next to the road and then the field of dreams at Kempsville and PA they planted daffodils for 3 weeks of a few yellow flowers and the grey ugly mulch until next year all the grassy stuff died. Cannot plant anything else without damaging the daffodils. I wonder if we plant trees to the minimum spacing or to provide enough to be visible. I assume you have to have a degree in landscaping -urban grow or something. Landscaping is expensive to plant and takes work to maintain even if planted in the best situation. We are not a rich private golf club. Landscaping should be ascetically pleasing, planned for the long term when it does grow full size, LOW MAINTENANCE, hardy, evenly place through the city. I will probably get censored for this comment the way things are today.
