You couldn't be more correct. A trip out Wilson St. From Acme Rd. to Lowes, takes about 10 minutes with all the red lights. Also, check out the useless island on the corner of Union and No. Main St. by city hall. It is designed to keep motorists from turning left off Union St. onto No. Main. The no left turn sign in the middle of the island has been clipped off by vehicles at least four times and now, has not been replaced. I guess they just gave up. I constantly see drivers turn left, even as inconvenient as this turn is. I have seen several vehicles run up over the island as they are traveling up No. Main St, as this island is in a direct line with the curb. When traveling down No. Main, wishing to turn left onto Union St, you have to make a very wide path to turn onto Union St. This is quite unnatural. I have called the Brewer City Engineer and he still thinks this island iis a good idea. It's time he re-examined this island and have it removed. If you are on Center St, preparing to turn left onto the bridge, when your light turns green, God help you if you don't count to three before you pull out.
