Still blighted. When will the city take responsibility for this? I have been sending in notices for over 5 years. The Health dept made them clean up the garbage around the exterior, but the building itself should be torn down as massive repairs are required.
I rec'd an update, but the fact is - it is still an abomination to live next to, everyone walking or driving down Wethersfield Ave can not miss this blight. Many windows are still open, garbage is everywhere, the tree has never been removed, the fence is being dismantled by metal thieves, the house is full of trash. It is a fire hazard. Why the city doesn't take possession and raze the building is beyond me. It is unsafe. It is not salvageable. I don't know how to escalate this serious safety issue.
Blighted property issues are being overseen by the LSNI department. The contact person is Breyonne Golding, who can be reached at 860-757-9593 if you have any questions about this property.
