I live on Tawes and have the opposite issue with that same intersection area trying to pull out into Trappe from the alleyway. There is no visibility or room because of parking on both sides of that street. Like the southwest side of that street between the alleyway and Tawes should be marked No-Parking. This will increase visibility overall for the intersection so people on Tawes/Trappe see cross-traffic even if no Stop-sign is added. It's not uncommon for people to be stuck in the intersection due to oncoming traffic and have to back up into the intersection for the car to get through.

With regards to changing this intersection to a 4-way stop, it does not meet the requirements for a 4-way stop. Another way to do this is to warn traffic that Trappe Street does not stop thus the "Cross Street Does Not Stop" signs you see under the stop sign.
With regards to the sight distance being obscured by traffic parking on Trappe Street, we will place a couple of "No Parking Here To Corner" signs near the alley to keep the sight line clear when looking left from the stop signs on Tawes Street. Allow up to 45 days for installation.
