Deskripsyon

A light is needed at the intersection of Cloud and Rittenhouse. Several accidents have occurred. The strange angle makes it difficult to turn onto Rittenhouse. The sun makes it difficult to see in morning and light from oncoming traffic makes it difficult at night.

Mr. Lechner -

The Town has been actively working with Maricopa County to obtain funding for a traffic signal at this intersection since August of last year. In our annual budgeting process we have identified that traffic signal for potential funding next year - and will continue our efforts to partner with the County in the interim. The intersection remains without a lght and there has been at least one more accident there that I am aware of. A tempoary light was removed from Sossamon and Chandler Heights. Perhaps that equipment can be used at Cloud and Rittenhouse.

Hello Dennis. The Town has completed an analysis of the intersection and has determined that a new traffic signal is needed. However, due to the recession and lack of available funds, the Town has had to prioritize projects with the limited funding available. The Town will be seeking a grant in November that would provide the Town the necessary funds to move forward with the construction of a traffic signal at this intersection. If the Town is approved for the grant, the funding would be available in the summer of 2013. New in town, 3 small children, walking distance to everything. Luckily my stroller has big tires, because walking on sidewalks, crossing the street at crosswalks, almost impossible.
