The intersection remains without a lght and there has been at least one more accident there that I am aware of. A tempoary light was removed from Sossamon and Chandler Heights. Perhaps that equipment can be used at Cloud and Rittenhouse.

Hello Dennis. The Town has completed an analysis of the intersection and has determined that a new traffic signal is needed. However, due to the recession and lack of available funds, the Town has had to prioritize projects with the limited funding available. The Town will be seeking a grant in November that would provide the Town the necessary funds to move forward with the construction of a traffic signal at this intersection. If the Town is approved for the grant, the funding would be available in the summer of 2013. New in town, 3 small children, walking distance to everything. Luckily my stroller has big tires, because walking on sidewalks, crossing the street at crosswalks, almost impossible.
