I've raised this same issue. There is definitely a car business being run here. Complete with oil changes. Maybe the DEEP needs a call as well. They will investigate where the fluids are being disposed.

this is still a very much active car repair shop and sales lot . The amount of cars
has been reduced but this is clearly not being watched . I was assured this was to
be resolved or the property owner would face a fine. Why is anyone not following
up on this ??!

this is STILL not resolved ! Prop owner still repairing cars on premises and has several cars for sale on property . I'm sorry but who is following up on this ?????

Many Behind the Rocks residents have signed petitions for action to be taken to protect residents from dangerous speeding and difficult intersections.

Please join us on September 9th so you can report your concerns at the public hearing part of this meeting regarding dangerous speeding and traffic problems that concern you!

Hello - I have forwarded this dialog over to the Police Dept. This technically is not a zoning issue because the area is zoned correctly. It is a police matter to enforce and ticket the violators. I also alerted Constituent services so they can work all departments concerned to come up with other solutions to stop the violations from reoccurring.

I have also emailed a number of Dept Heads to brainstorm possible solutions.

The police department is aware of the complaints and have sent notification through the department that this is an area of emphasis. Enforcement activities are ongoing and we anticipate that
the shutting down of the asphalt plants in the next month or so will also help.
Deputy Chief Joe Buyak and Lieutenant Rob Allan are both closely monitoring the situation and are in touch with the NRZ.

this is a zoning issue I beg to differ. this is zoned R 7 residential only ...not commercial. So the home owner is operating a commercial business in the residential only neighborhood. Furthermore, since he is doing repairs on site as well where is the waste from repairs going. Oils and fluids in the sewers perhaps ? .
Clearly our inspectors for the city are not following up on this so I've notified DEP for the state there may be an issue the city officials are ignoring
