The town of Wallingford does not monitor this site. A couple of Councilors used to; I do not know if they still do.

Given that - the best, fastest way to make someone aware of this issue is to place a phone call from 9 to 5 during the work week.

If this is private property (and I believe it is if I am recalling the area from memory correctly) al they can do (possibly) is escalate to the police station about the safety issue (Public Works cannot take any actual action beyond that).

I posted on this a few years ago. Jason Zandri was on the council and presented it, but nothing was done. I live on South Elm right near here.

This problem is still a problem. Seems even The Wallingford Police Dept does want to do anything about this. The day will come when there is an accident and who will get "SUED" The town for not doing anything about this. THe Police Dept because they know of this blind spot. The people who own this house that owns the bushes that created this problem. Piont the finger and still nothing gets done. Nice town we live in. I'll be moving soon.

Still seems the Town does nothing. The frinking home owner should cut them back. I would sue them if I had a accident and the Town of Wallingford also for knowing that this was an existing problem. No one cares till a bad accident happens and then they will say " Why wasn't something done"

Still a problem !!!! What the heck is wrong with this Town Of Wallingford. " Wally World" for sure. Seems the town would rather wait till something really " Tragic" to happen then say what went wrong here. Unreal what this town will do to avoid doing something to avoid a safety issue.

I just drove by there to see it. I understand your concern. It seems the bushes on the left are even more of a concern as that is the direction traffic is approaching the stop sign. I checked with Town Engineering and since the homes have been there for so long, there is no subdivision sight line restriction they could point to to require action. They suggested that the police could request something of the homeowners if they determine there is a public safety issue. I will contact the Traffic Division Lt. and ask him to take a look.

VTesta, I told a police officer about this back in the fall and still nothing has been done. Thanks for looking into to this problem. Maybe talking the home owners would do some good. But about 5 feet needs to be cut back on the Ward St/ElmSt street corner. Thanks Again.

Seems there is another Line of Sight Issue the next block down on Sylan Ave and South Elm. A new fence was put up and blocks the line of sight looking north on South Elm St.. There is a town ordinance that should be in enforced. But seems nothing is being enforce in "Wally World"
