Has there been any movement on this property? There is also no electricity connection -- you can see the disconnected electrical wires dangling from the weatherhead. Is the owner intentionally blighting the property in attempts to make it too expensive to repair and requiring demolition?

I sent an email to HousingCode@jcnj.org / Subject: Abandoned, Vacant Building at 230 Bay Street on September 30, 2020. This is an abandoned building, there is no electrical service to the building, it should be listed on Jersey City's Abandoned / Vacant Building List. This is a building that is over 100 years old and the owner is intentionally neglecting the building and property.

Please do. It is effectively an abandoned property. No one lives there. The front yard has dirt from work done on the sewer/water connection, random construction barriers, and there is NO electric service -- there are no electrical connections from the pole to the building -- only cable/phone.
The Golden Cicada on 195 Grand Street has been vacant for less time and they already have the red abandoned building X for firefighter safety on it.
