Buyer's beware. The newly built Catherine Graham homes are not energy efficient as they are being sold as. Buyer's are being told they have gas heating systems when in fact, forced air heating is electrical heat!! Homeowner's are upset because electric bills are sky high!!! Nothing about these homes are energy efficient, just cheaply built. The city of Trenton should be ashamed of funding homes that are being advertised as energy efficient but they are not.

The city should place the Homeowners on energy assistance. During the winter months assist the Homeowners by offering a one hundred and fifty dollar credit on there electric bills for the first ten years of there ownership.

I am also an owner of Catherine Graham Homes. My "Energy Star" windows are not that at all. Even with the windows securely locked, there is a strong draft coming through on cold windy days. My PSE&G bill has increased by $200.00 monthly on top of what I was explained what should be my normal gas/electric bill.

we were already suckered into buying the homes. The city or developers will never offer us an incentive for the heating now, maybe the new fools who might purchase a home here maybe, but current homeowner's, never. It's not fair. The developer's were paid a certain amount of money to make these homes energy efficient and they cut every corner to make sure they kept as much money in their pockets as they can. This would have never happened in an all white suburb.
