Beschreibung
Issues still continue with speeding cut-thru traffic, and large trucks using this road. This has been addressed to township officials and to UDPD ad nauseam for years and yet here we still are with no resolution. It is absolutely ridiculous that this issue still remains. No effort from the township has been made to put in place any traffic calming procedures and traffic enforcement continues to be lacking. My voice continues to not be heard on this issue yet I will continue to address this complaint and I encourage anyone else on this street who feels the same way to make your voice heard. I am hopeful that at some point this will be addressed but at this point I wont be surprised for this to be brushed off again.

I do apologize if you feel your concerns are not being heard or addressed, but nonetheless the police department has been responsive to all of your requests. We strive to respond to each and every request for action and work to provide the very best service to all of our residents in each part of the township we serve.
If after seeing this list you still feel that your issues are not being addressed and wish to have a further conversation, I recommend you reach out to me directly at 215-643-1600, extension 3364.
On another note, there is something that you can do if you wish to assist us in our endeavors to curb speeding in many neighborhoods throughout Upper Dublin. Pennsylvania remains the only state where local police cannot use radar. One of the biggest issues we hear about in Upper Dublin is regarding excessive speed.
There are currently 2 bills in the State Senate and the State House of Representatives which would allow local police to use radar. Radar is an immediately deploy-able tool and the deterrent effect that radar would bring would help us do more to control speeding and increase safety in the township on a faster and more regular basis.
The 2 pieces of legislation which would allow PA police to use radar, Senate Bill 607 and House Bill 1686 are out there. The latest companion bill, Bill 1686 was referred to the House of Representatives Transportation Committee on 6/27/19.
We are asking you, your neighbors and anyone interested in helping us to reach out to your local and state officials to request their support in getting this bill out of committee and to the floor for a vote.
Thank you,
D/C Dan Wade
