I would like to find information concerning centerline painting along Fort Washington Ave between Limekiln and Welsh. Historical arial photos only show centerlines present after 2005. Can someone from the township please provide a township record relating to / defining this change or requirement for these lines? Note: Photo example of 2005 showing sample section between Limekiln and Terrrace dated 2005 showing no centerline markings.

I have read the comment posted in issue # 10523874 and I do not see where it is stating that enforcing truck traffic cannot be enforced, only that they need to be properly administered following section 4907.

"Failure of a local authority to properly administer, adhere to or enforce the substantive requirements of this chapter and the department's regulations shall subject the local authority to penalties set forth under section 4907 (relating to penalty for violation of chapter)."

4907 (b) States "Restrictions based on traffic conditions.--The Commonwealth and local authorities with respect to highways and bridges under their jurisdictions may prohibit the operation of vehicles and may impose restrictions as to the weight or size of vehicles operated upon a highway or bridge whenever they determine that hazardous traffic conditions or other safety factors require such a prohibition or restriction. School buses, emergency vehicles and vehicles making local deliveries or pickups may be exempted from restrictions on the use of highways imposed under this subsection." Living along this street where there are no sidewalks and excessive speeding I would very much agree a safety factor exists.

Further more, as stated in my last response Title 75, Section 4902(a-b), municipalities have the authority to restrict vehicles by size and weight based on highway or traffic conditions. Typically, a study must determine if these restrictions are warranted, but Act 31 waived the study requirement for local authorities to restrict STAA vehicles on local roads.

So again, this feels like the township making excuses as to why they can't resolve an ongoing issue. For five years I continue to address these concerns and no resolution has been reached. Why is there so much resistance to addressing safety for residence who live along this road?

In response to the restrictions on my posted question on SeeClickFix (#10522243). As I understand, Under Title 75, Section 4902(a-b), municipalities have the authority to restrict vehicles by size and weight based on highway or traffic conditions. Typically, a study must determine if these restrictions are warranted, but Act 31 waived the study requirement for local authorities to restrict STAA vehicles on local roads.

Is it possible to provide respond with the specific law or document that states that this cannot be enforced?

Even after recently reporting issues with speeding and tuck traffic and the township placing the radar signs up this issue is still present as ever. Truck traffic is still quite consistent and the signs, or the painted lines that were previously installed for that matter, do little to deter the speeding and aggressive driving. While I appreciate the UDPD following up with posting the feedback signs, historically the townships stance is this is a non-issue and fail to do anything proactive to resolve this issue. For a residential street this is unacceptable.

Speeding, aggressive driving, and truck traffic continue to plague this street within this subdivision. Please increase enforcement and return feedback signs. Thank you.

Concerning a previously closed ticket concerning truck traffic, can the response to "how can the police choose to not enforce a restriction that is currently in place?" be posted on this forum? Thank you.

Can the department please provide the dates, times, and lengths for the current year of when speed enforcement occurred along Fort Washington Ave. (between Limekin and Welsh)? Thank you.

Speeding consistently happening and yet even when the township added the lines for enforcement I have not seen enforcement happening at this location. This is and has been an ongoing problem. Please address.

Trucks constantly using this street as a cut-thru despite the restriction in place. This is unsafe. This one observed and captured this morning. When will these restrictions be properly enforced?

Digital speed feedback signs have been removed. Please place them back.

Since I could not re-open or post to the issue (8187458) that was marked as closed by Sgt. Andrew Sanborn, I am referring to two new speed limit signs with solar powered feed back signed that were installed in both directions along this road. These were seen being installed and then later removed by public works.

So, in an effort to address speeding and safety concerns along this road you put up digital feedback speed signs only to take them down a week or two later. What did this solve? Absolutely asinine!

Recently, it appears the township painted additional lines and markings along a portion of Fort Washington Ave. I assume this was done in response to issues of speeding. From observation it appears that this solution of choice appears to have no effect on changing driver behavior.

Speeding and truck traffic still an issue. Despite speed signs located near Bell issue is still present. Also large truck traffic still remains an issue.

Several tickets have been marked as closed with the comment, "Thank you for submitting these requests. All sign requests will be evaluated." How can any progress be tracked if said tickets have been closed? What would be the process for tracking? Why did it take approximately a month and a half for any comment at all to be marked on these tickets? This process is broken. It is clear that these issues are not being taken seriously. Thank you, Upper Dublin.
