Four Rod Road is incredibly busy and there are numerous accidents on the corner of Four Rod Road and Earl Avenue. It is very hard to see while stopping at the two present stop signs on Earl Avenue, but none on Four Rod Road. There is also a hill that cars fly down from both directions as they go through this intersection on Four Rod Road.

I agree that this is a dangerous intersection. and a four way stop is needed I have requested and gotten the trees trimmed there numerous times over the past years due to zero visibility from heavy brush blocking the view. Maybe there should be a meeting with Mayor Jackson. He is very receptive to what residents request.

I agree with this 110%! There should absolutely be a stop sign at this corner, not only for the safety of the drivers, but also for the residents in this area! I know there are many small children, my own 3 year old included, and I am hesitant to take him for walks or even let him play in our front yard due to the numerous cars that go flying down the street in both directions! It would make everyone much more comfortable if the signs were put in place!! Too many accidents have happened at this corner and I am surprised it has been overlooked for this long...

I called 911 again today for an accident. Now that school is back in session, there are kids on the street corner waiting for buses. Too many bumpers lost...and it could be a lot worse. Please re-visit this traffic pattern and add signs. Please.

I agree it's a dangerous intersection. But a stop sign at the bottom of a hill like that may make it even more dangerous. Especially in the winter trying to have a vehicle stop coming down that hill will cause more accidents

Frank - good point, though leaving it as is is not safe either. Hoping the town might explore the intersection (again!) and the number of accidents and suggest other ways to make safe too.
