It looks horrible. Now we have trees that block the view when you are turning off of Semmes AND weeds. Why does the city seem to ignore our neighborhood more than others? We have so many neighbors trying to make a difference by restoring old houses, opening businesses, etc but we can't seem to get much city cooperation.
The median situation on southside is abhorrent. Fan medians such as boulevard and monument stay well groomed while southside medians resemble wheatfields reaching heights where it makes it unsafe for turning vehicles that are crossing oncomming lanes of traffic. Lets hope the city steps up efforts to maintain these medians.
The median grass situation throughout south richmond is abhorrent and creates unsafe driving conditions for motorists entering and exiting across lanes of oncoming traffic. Im curious as to why the fan medians are so well kept yet many in southside resemble wheatfields.
Its the case with all of southside. I pay a storm water fee but my street's gutters are clogged and the road floods. When it snows my streets never get plowed. Maybe I'll move out to chesterfield and give them my tax dollars, at least they seem to know how to manage them.
It is hard to see, and a hazard to drivers and pedestrians. It's particularly bad in the 3200and 3300 of Semmes, due to the amount of traffic and the lanes closed/detours caused by the Reddy Creek bridge repairs.
The last person to comment accidentally closed this issue. I am reopening it. Let's make sure it is taken care of and that we get a written response from the city.
