Yes. 100St is very dark and not well lit. Its needs the same flashing lights that other crosswalks have been getting. I've stood at the side of the rd to cross and nobody stops. Sometimes I'm sure they just cant see me.

Thank you for contacting the City. The street lighting at this location has been reviewed and the lighting level is deemed to meet current standards (see http://www.cityofgp.com/index.aspx?page=341). As such we have no plans to install additional street lighting at this location in the foreseeable future.

We do not install ‘light up’ cross walk signs in the City of Grande Prairie. When warranted we do install pedestrian signals at crosswalks in the City although, due to a limitation of funding, locations are selected on a priority basis. Priority is determined using the TAC (Transportation Association of Canada) guidelines with priority given to the locations having the highest injury rates, the poorest sightlines or the highest vehicle speeds. We will undertake a review of the pedestrian crossings in this vicinity and, if considered a priority, we will approve the installation of pedestrian signals.
