Good Day,
The City is not responsible for the collection or hauling of building, construction or remodeling materials (Virginia Beach City Code Section 31-8). However, if the waste is generated in the City of Virginia Beach from the primary residence and is delivered in a qualified, privately owned non-commercial vehicle, residents can take the waste to the Virginia Beach Landfill free of charge. Proof of Virginia Beach residency must be provided.
The Landfill is located at 1989 Jake Sears Road, near Regent University off Centerville Turnpike. They are open Tuesday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to
4:30 p.m. Landfill personnel can be reached at 385-1980.
