Rogers Avenue is not near the lakefront from Pratt to Albion and is not a suitable alternative to my idea. Nevertheless, I don't expect this to happen right away, but I think it's a good idea that should be explored. Are people who are not residents of the 50th Ward welcome at the participatory budget meetings?

We're in the 49th Ward. All residents in the 49th ward Alderman Joe Moore's ward are welcome.

I'm also not a resident of the 49th Ward, or Chicago for that matter. Still, it's near home and it would be useful to me.

There are others who reside in the 49th ward who participated in the budgeting. Some of them served on a biking subcommittee and were successful in advocating for bike Ianes on Rogers, Ashland and Touhy. They were unsuccessful in advocating for the very link you mentioned. There are complex private property and riparian rights issues.

I expect there will be another proposal next year to make that link using a slightly different route. We have CDOT looking at the possiblity and costs of contra flow lanes on Albion between Sheridan and Lakewood, then up Lakewood to the bike route on Pratt and biking lanes that will be on Morse after the streetscape project is completed.
