Is it normal for a review to take 4 months?

The potholes are now almost swimming pools. There are a number of people who must access this alley to get to their homes. While waiting for paving could the city at least lay down gravel?

According to issue 243095 at 2024 W Main St (Can't access my driveway), issues take a minimum of 10 months to review, much less take action

Ridiculous!

@CityofRichmond, what's the next step here?

12/4/2013 - Service Review: Currently still under review by the City of Richmond government – this team has had problems with equipment breakage with regards to motor graders that break and need repair and may have broken again and back in shop. Also members of the Alley team are engaged in Leaf removal services right now. Regardless, please know that the City of Richmond is endeared to addressing your alley repair needs as soon as possible and this case file is still under review and being continually monitored for servicing

Ok, so my understanding though is that the alley still hasn't even been *reviewed.* I assume a review doesn't require equipment other than, say, someone driving over and seeing that, yes, there are large potholes. So while this team may need to fix its equipment and they are now preoccupied with leaf removal, what's taken 8 months? Should we expect anything will happen here before this issue celebrates its 1-year anniversary in a few months? Why does it take so long to fix alleys? I think of the numerous alley issues on SCF that never seem to be resolved, especially this one which has been up for more than a year and has more than 100 votes.

Here's the real problem and everyone take note. The City has a "sneaky" way of closing these alley repair requests. They simply mark the complaint as "closed" as if it's been completed. But in actuality, nothing could be further from the truth.

So if you see an alley request that says closed, make sure to comment on it immediately so the City knows that you know you are watching them.
