Double phone poles across from 99 Pleasant. The street light is also out for many months. Poor visibility

The Double Utility Poles will be Eliminated by the Fall of 2010 by the Utility Contractor Verizon. A New Pole was Installed Behind the Existing Pole by Verizon and all the Wires Need to be Moved to the New Poles before the Old Poles Can be Removed. New Poles were Installed as Part of the Pleasant Street Reconstruction Project which Widened this Section of Roadway to Accomidate a 1.5' Shoulder for Bycicles. The Street Light is Out Due to the Main Electric Wires being Moved to the New Pole.

Thought I would Post This to Show You that we are Making Progress and Expect to be in this Area on Pleasant Street all Next Week Moving Wires to the New Poles. The Photo Shows Nstar working on the Pole infront of #99 Pleasant Street.

when are they going to fix this ? no progress since the picture was posted. street lights has been out for almost a year. Someone almost got run down tonight because you can't see anything if you are turning off of the road until a driveway.

We are waiting on Verizon to Relocate There Lines. They are Now on site with Comcast to be on site in November.

Verizon has Removed all the Telephone Poles along Howard Street and will be Focusing on Removing the Poles from Pleasant Street throughout the Winter.

haven't seen any progess on our end of pleasant. no lights from conant to church. dangerous especially since it is a turn in the road.

correction to my last statement, the light just past conant is working, and down at church, however, intermittently. I walked down the street the other night and they appeared to be out, this evening they were one. still the one across from 99 pleasant is out, and the next one down towards the square.

No progress on the poles. Street lights are still out. Nothing on between 67 and Conant Street. One dark stretch of road.

I noticed today that the last of the double poles is gone. But the one directly across from 99 Pleasant looks like it will fall over with a good wind. The ground under need it is broken away. Street lights are still out.

I called Nstar for you the other day and they are planning to put in street lights on 4 poles between conant & cross street sometime this year. As to the telephone poles after a year of delays all the old poles have been removed. Expect Paving on Pleasant Street to begin this year. The pole you are talking about I have seen. The reason it is leaning in because it was drilled into ledge. Which also means it is in the ground very hard and will never move.
