Pleasure House Lake is at pre-flood condition after the many intense rain events over the past month. It needs to be pumped out to neighboring Chubb Lake, as it has been in past flooding before any storm surge backs up the Bay to make pumping into Chubb lake and eventual outfall to the Bay impossible. The outlet that drains the area between the 4600 blocks of Lauderdale Ave. and Lookout Rd. Is now covered and starting to backup. The resources to pump out the lake are certain to be needed sometime this summer. To prevent hardship to the residents of Lauderdale Ave, as happened after the 2017 hurricane, expending those resources before flooding would be the best course of action.
