I understand how upsetting that could be for you to have to deal with but I travel around town daily, walking the streets for 5-8 miles a day and I see SO much good that our hard working town workers do, the speedy repair of pot holes, the painting of crosswalks, the quick and quality responsiveness of our Mayor and his staff that leads me to think of this as the exception rather than the rule. I’m sorry you have to deal with this issue and I’m sure they’ll sort you out quickly.

Just a FYI.....sidewalks are done by a outside contractor. So your new sidewalk being a mess has nothing to do with public works response to the tornado.

I understand that this was a private contractor but they were finishing up the project the day of the tornado. The public works does do a fine job at what they do.

Thank you for reporting the site to the Town. We will be dispatching our inspector to the site to evaluate the sidewalk. Please allow us up to two weeks to conduct the inspection.

The picture shows the sidewalk done but the edges need to be restored which often happens a few days later. We will look at the site and get back to you.
