Descripción

It seems when traffic merges right off Hancock St to State St that all the sudden people want to Yield when they never did in previous years. There is no sign that indicates you Yield, there is a sign that shows 2 lanes and traffic keeps flowing, for some reason people find a need to stop. The traffic on State Street already stays in a lane, the traffic off Hancock flows out and if continuing to go straight and merge at the hill. Though the idea of moving traffic is great, this should just go back to a Yield, the lane is too short for starters, and secondly does not give enough room for someone to change lanes, (even with a directional on) to get in the lane to the Emergency Room area. This area creates confusion and binds up traffic, people don't go when the lane is clear, while others will go when someone has a directional on to get to the hospital. Either put a traffic light up or put the Yield sign back and ditch that Yellow sign trying to tell people to keep going.
