David Meeker has once been cited for violating signage code regarding the eyesore on the end of the building that once was home to the laundry/dry cleaner. He was simply forced to remove the signage. No fines. I agree, he seems to think city codes do not apply to him. Nepotism is real here. WRAL or WTVD should investigate why David Meeker is able to get away with ignoring city codes.

Whoa cool! Are you talking about nepotism and referring to yourself in the third person in a reply to your own post, Grosvenor? Can you please link the city ordinance and proof that they don’t have a sign permit for those of us less knowledgeable than you? Somebody censor me, please

He has a history of violating city sign code here. Wouldn't surprise me. He was forced to take down other signage. Wouldn't surprise me if the "Morgan West" sign that was once "West Morgan Center" hadn't been lawful. Thanks for bringing this up. I'll follow up with the code department tomorrow! They may not even realize the sign was changed.

I asked a question about a notice to me about something I never posted. Why is that deemed "Content blocked by rejections".

Hi Meesh, I don't think your account is hacked. When someone doesn't like what another person says, they can flag the comment and then I think a moderator reviews it and can censor you by removing or holding the comment. This happens to me all the time when I call people out for making nasty personal attacks or when they seem to want to avoid finding a civil solution to an issue they just want to opine about. I guess some people like to hide behind the anonymity of SeeClickFix and don't like it when differing opinions are presented. I don't know if you said anything that could have been interpreted as controversial, but I could imagine someone flagged it or your account. I could even imagine that users with lots of SCF points can be granted moderator permissions and really mess with the discussion. The best is when people create multiple accounts to comment and vote on their own issues and flag the stuff they don't like multiple times! It's kind of exciting to see which of my comments get censored! Good luck!

My comment also says it's being held for approval. I bet when there is a lot of activity on one issue, everything gets held to calm the discussion.

The odd thing is that I didn't post anything in the first place (despite thinking Meeker's within his rights). The error messages to me were irrelevant and system generated.

From the City code, they would definitely need a permit for that. I don't know much about this place, but I can see from other issues on here, they seem to not be good neighbors to the community. Esp, blowing trash on the neighbors' properties.
