Union City has many blinking stop signs. Mayor Stack takes pedestrian safety much more seriously than Jersey City.

We will collect the necessary traffic data to conduct studies at the intersections of Central Avenue with Ferry Street and Booraem Avenue to determine the proper traffic calming measures that would be warranted at these intersections. We will provide our recommendations for implementation by the end of October.

This is still a huge problem. It is very challenging to cross central at this location. Especially with kids. Cars will very rarely stop to allow you to cross. The lights are many blocks away.
