perhaps a right turn lane would help. going 45 mph on this busy street then making a right turn, is asking for trouble

Traffic Engineering is in the process of evaluating the intersection. The evaluation process will take several months to complete so that the traffic patterns when school is in session can be evaluated along with the Lynnhaven Parkway corridor. Another accident has taken place on this day of 9/16/17.

People take unnecessary risk's at Gravenhurst and Lynnhaven Parkway when there is a traffic signal at Pleasant Valley a block away to safely cross Lynnhaven. Most people are in such a hurry and also driving distracted that they don't take proper precautions.

i dont think a light is the answer. I have lived here for 28 years and have had no problems. people are driving with distractions (cell phones and texting), in a hurry (rushing- leaving at the last minute) , taking risks (threading the needle- trying to squeeze in ) and on-coming traffic drivers are not courteous and won't let you in or yield to you. a light may not be cost effective or feasible. But a "NO LEFT TURN" sign at that intersection may help. Both ways, turning onto lynnhaven pkwy from gravenhurst and turning onto gravenhurst from lynnhaven pkwy. This may be an inconvenience but so is a stop light.
