I am a resident of Smith St in Jersey City and have some concerns regarding broken glass and trash floating around on our block due to construction at HCCC Health, Scienece, and Technology building.
We've put up with trash since the construction started and clean up debris ourselves because the workers never clean up after their work is done.
Today was the last drop when one of your security guards (his picture attached) kicked a hennesy bottle that was sitting on the walkway - college property onto the residential street and broke it. I was outside playing with my two small children, and the first thing they did was run towards the broken glass to step on it and play.
After we approached him he was nonchalant about it and didn't even bother to apologize and clean his mess.
That is very disconcerting and shows how much disrespect these workers have toward the surrounding neighborhood they work at.
