I emailed Lt. Miller this evening

This house has been vacant for years now and signs on the door previously indicated that the property was in "cleanup." Not sure if that means hoarders lived there, or it was a meth lab. Now, squatters. What has New Haven come to?

Lci has called the bank to secure the property

LOL.....getting LCI to do anything is a waste of time. They ALWAYS have an excuse as to why something is NOT acted on. Usually it's - we don't have enough help. Some things never change. You TRY to keep up your neighborhood by reporting conditions that LCI describes as something that is reportable, but NOTHING happens! The neighborhood continues on a downward track because NO ONE CARES!

People do care. We will push to get this cleaned up.

Please call the Police Department if you see activity in this building 203.946.6316 (non-emergency) or 911 if its an emergency.

Anyone from the bank should have identification on them. Don't be afraid to ask "who are you / why are you here" if you see activity at this location.

Instead of LCI calling the "bank servicer" AGAIN, WHY doesn't LCI just slap a HEFTY fine on them? If there's anything a bank hates, it's paying out money! Oh wait, that won't work either because LCI doesn't have the personnel to follow up and enforce those fines!

Ihanscom- HOW LONG has the house been in this condition that NOTHING has been done until now? Who's being a troll? Everything that I stated has been stated by the previous head of LCI- the one that Harp gave a raise to because he was going to leave. Then, if I'm not mistaken, he left anyway.

I don't need the aggravation. Besides, it's not in my neighborhood. There is enough going on in my area that doesn't receive any attention.

Are there any updates on this situation? I don't think it's unreasonable for those of us in the neighborhood to expect the city to take action and fix this dangerous mess that's existed for years at this point.

Steps were taken to make the house more secure but that can always be undone. Please post here if you have witnessed activity again.

LCI has coordinated lawn cutting and basic maintenance.

The drug use and dealing out of this house has reached critical status and now I heard from a neighbor that the word CRYSTAL is written in one of the windows indicating that crystal meth is being either used or dealt here. I know that foreclosure proceedings are moving forward slowly, but can LCI re-secure the house with the help of the police? I'm going to bring this to the attention of district 10's manager and maybe he can coordinate with our new district 10 neighborhood specialist if this is district 10, or refer to proper district manager.

Thanks Nadine for keeping on this one. If we've already voted it up, we can't vote it again, but it is definitely a major concern for people in our neighborhood, and just speaking for myself, I appreciate you - as CMT chair - and our new LCI specialist keeping on it!

You're very welcome LMA; the health and safety of our neighborhood is very important to all of us and we'll stay on it until it gets resolved. I talked to Sgt. Wolcheski, police district 10 manager and he was going to address this today with LCI and the walking beats, so hopefully a resolution is on the way!

I went by there with the police yesterday, I'm gonna do my best to try and help out.

Thank you to both to Sgt. Wolcheski and our LCI neighborhood specialist; it's very encouraging to know that both the police and LCI are focused on this now and are working on a resolution.
