A little more than a week after Governor Brown signed legislation barring cities from taking action against residents for allowing their yards to go unwatered I received a letter from Corona Code Enforcement threatening legal action and fines. The number of properties heeding the City of Corona and the State of California's call to "Fade to Brown" or "Go Golden" is rapidly increasing but my neighbors aren't being contacted by the city. Is the city being proactive in their efforts or does the city simply answer the complaints submitted via See Click Fix?

Please explain why the City of Corona Code Enforcement department continues to pursue action and ignore the declared state of emergency due to drought. My water bill and many city communications plea for residents to make drastic reductions in water use but code enforcement doesn't seem to be in the same page.

I have forwarded Code Enforcement's most recent letter to the state's drought task force as well as my state senator and state senator Brown, who authored the bill restricting cities from taking action during the declared state of emergency.
