The overall timing of this light could use some analysis. The pedestrian/bike crossing signal can take a very long time, encouraging jaywalking and creating a dangerous situation.

A related issue is that many of the vehicles coming south on Main looking to turn right onto Winter use Autumn Street to cut the corner. They come whipping down Autumn, often at 40+ mph, sometimes as my wife and/or I are attempting cross the street in the morning with our visually impaired son. Vehicles also routinely blow through stop signs entering onto Autumn from Main via Kenmore, Fairlawn, etc. But in the 16 years that I have been living on Autumn, I have never seen any traffic enforcement effort whatsoever. Enhanced enforcement would not only improve public safety, but would also generate revenue for the city. Quite literally, a speeding or failure to stop ticket could be written every couple of minutes. Thank you.

I live near this same intersection and would like to add another request to reassess the lights and traffic flow on these streets. Because the left from Main Street to Winter Street is so difficult, vehicles regularly pass on the right then accelerate to continue north, creating two "lanes" which must merge right past Forest Street. This causes many near collisions and makes it very dangerous to access adjacent driveways. Side streets (such as Autumn St.) are used regularly to avoid the Main/Forest/Winter intersection in all directions. Traffic light timing and much better road markings are needed and are long overdue!
