Newport Marine,The Advena family owners of Newport Marine. Will never fail to amaze you, property that does not conform to city code ,. This incident occurred today at approximately 1:00 p.m. when the building collapsed and some of this fell into the intercoastal waterway. The police were there. I certainly hope no one was hurt. Everyone should OFRA request to the city code enforcement office. Ask for their annual building inspection, electrical inspection, fire inspection, also ask for their use in occupancy permits. The three-story building that is there is illegal and not allowed to be used for any use. No occupancy permit third floor issued by the city .Looking at the windows you can clearly see use for storage. When is it going to end with someone is killed there? Boats are being pressure washed without a tarp under them to collect the debris. They just go out into the water that is a EPA violation. The neighborhood , everyone in the city needs to band together and drowned City Hall with the OFRA request. Put this dangerous person out of business. Remember he got voted on to the school board he was getting paid $63,000 a year. Before he was kicked off the school board for not showing up to meetings. My next complaint will be to the New Jersey State attorney general. As most informed people should know the code enforcement officer was fired and is under investigation by the police. We just happened to be a dear friend of Mike Advena, along with the chief of police of Ventnor City. In fact the chief of police used to park his car right in front of Mike's house when he was having a party or a barbecue. Blocking all the traffic on the one-way Street from passing by Advena house.. don't forget my son was the one driving illegal dragster hot rod around the now he works for the parking authority. Where he feels entitled along with his friends to park wherever they want to park and block the street off. Is that not ironic a parking enforcement officer is getting away with violating the law. Newport Marine it's nothing but a junkyard of boats, parts, Lumber and debris. It is time for a little Napoleon to be banned from the city.
