Trees Archiviert2200 Bellaire Avenue Raleigh, NC 27608, United States of America - Five PointsOriginal issue (3811813) reported October 2017, for some reason the City closed the issue without taking care of the problem. Fast forward to February 2018, the first tree in the series that runs along Bellaire Ave. is pretty much dead. As originally stated, our neighborhood is worried it will infect and kill the other 10+ trees that line Bellaire in the right of Way.

Garbage / Recycling / Yard Waste Archiviert2134-2136 Bellaire Ave Raleigh, NC 27608, USA - Five PointsDue to Hurricane Matthew lots of debris ended up in our backyard since we live next to the overflow for Crabtree Creek. Our pile (as well as other neighbors) has been sitting at the curb waiting to get picked up since the days that followed the Hurricane.

As you can hear from the video, the loud music coming from the Paula street area is starting early.
RPD was called 15 minutes ago at 245 and the volume has not changed. I hope this is not an indication of what our evening is going to be like.

Vegetation / Overgrowth Archiviert2139 Bellaire Avenue Raleigh, NC 27608, USA - Five PointsActually, it isn't overgrowth, it's devastation. This area which is called an overflow for Crabtree creek or as my neighbors now call it, a lake, has been neglected in its drainage issues and as a result the existing trees are dying from the inside. In the picture you can see where trees are snapping. This beautiful area that is being neglected is losing it's natural beauty and as a result the wildlife (herons, egrets, hawks, owls, woodpeckers) is suffering. Last week a tree snapped and fell on my property (which I cleaned up) shouldn't we work to preserve this area instead of watching it deteriorate as it has over the last 10 years?

Drainage Archiviert2239 Bellaire Avenue Raleigh, NC 27608, USA - Five PointsI have reported time and time again about the issue of drainage or lack of drainage. The city closed my issue as they stated it was resolved/taken care of. I'm fully aware I live in a flood zone and there are beavers in the area but i shouldn't have stagnant water on my property. There is ONE drain that is responsible for filtering the water across Hodges Street into Crabtree Creek. WHO is responsible for keeping the drain open, not me that's for sure. One thing I've learned is no one is being held responsible for clearing the drain. My emails to James Riggs with the housing department are ignored. There are rules in place to make sure the property owner does what they're suppose to do. The city will issue a ticket if you're grass is too tall but they won't issue a ticket to the property owner who is responsible for keeping the drain open. This body of water is a breeding ground for Mosquitos and other pesky animals.
