I second the complaint on the water issue. I also live in this neighborhood and it is an ongoing problem. The main reason the water floods into peoples yards is because the small pond that is located in our neighborhood does not drain properly....and why? Because of the beaver, they dam up the drainage pipe and their is nowhere for the water to go.The city only comes out once every few months to unblock the drain but if you know anything about beavers they can dam up a drainage pipe in one single night. The city has to look into getting rid of the few beaver that habitat this pond, how i'm not sure, trapping them possibly.I've read where other large cities have this exact problem and the city comes in and gets rid of the beaver.Get rid of the beaver....Get rid of the flooding problem.
Starting to doubt this app, as its been 5 days since I've reported this problem. The water has not receded which tells me the property owner nor the city has addressed the problem.
Your area borders a flood zone that has a long history. In addition to the beavers, years of development upstream (Crabtree Valley Mall for one) have damaged the natural water runoff system. It's a lovely area for bird life. I suggest that you see if there is a local group that monitors the creek or ponds. That's a beautiful piece of nature right in the heart of the city.
Although the debris has been removed, water is still unable to properly drain. This picture was taken AFTER the drain was supposedly opened. This is a 36 inch drain that is responsible for all the run off for the forest acres neighborhood. As shown in the picture it is clearly not OPEN.
This has been referred to the Public Works Department again. I am closing this item as there is another one open. An update will be posted when they have responded. Thanks.
