I live behind this property and here is more evidence of the rats which live in the swale. The fence ends are rotted due to age hut the growth and water from the swale but the first picture is the tunnel the dug through the fence. The 2nd is the dirt from that tunnel with another tunnel dug in that and you can see rat poo on top of the pile. This is behind chicken wire as our dogs would run back there and break the drain we installed to take away water from our patio

Looking for an update on the swale - heard they were cited and given time to clean it up but nothing has been done

I was told that the HOA for the town homes has been notified about their responsibilities with the Swale and were given a deadline to clean out the swale and maintain it. We are at least 60 days beyond that deadline and I have reached out to get an updated and talk about next steps but have gotten no response on the next steps

Flooding and rodents downstream of the townhomes are ongoing every time it rains. This is the #1 public works issue for every homeowner on this block.

This problem continues to worsen with every month it is not addressed. Mosquitoes, rats, and other rodents breed there. Yards are eroded and crawl spaces are flooded. A swamp had formed where the blocked swale collects water. Unblocking the clogged drain should solve this. Please act - this should never have gone on so long.
