The CAT buses are regularly exceeding the posted speed limit of 25 mph. It is amazing how fast they will drive through a residential neighborhood. They fly right by a school bus stop in the morning when children are waiting for their bus in the dark and on a street without sidewalks.

I agree that some of the buses go too fast on Timber. In fact, I think speed on Timber is a major issue, not just for buses. This is a residential side street but people treat it like a cross-through arterial. The city should put up one of those feedback speed signs (instead of speed bumps).

I agree with the post. Walking my dogs down Timber is risky, as the CAT buses speed by they can't move away from the curb where pedestrians are walking.

I've referred this to our Public Works Department. When the staff has had a chance to respond I’ll post an update. Thanks for reporting.

Per Public Works, this has been referred to CAT Operations; this area will be monitored by supervisors and dispatch to make sure all CAT buses operate within the posted speed limit.
