Has anyone else noticed (I'm sure they have) that this car lot has been sitting the same exact way for 5 years? Maybe more? None of the cars have moved in a LONG time, all of them have flat tires and the owner doesn't seem to care about how it looks. I see the "Open" sign on occasionally, but never see anyone there. How is this allowed, but yet someone gets reported for having a car sit in their driveway that's only been there a month?

Strange world.....

hmm, i agree. i noticed too that its been sitting like that for a while, but never realized it was that long..........well come to think of it, i guess it has been sitting like that for a while!

I had to see this for myself, so I drove over there yesterday and sure enough, all the cars' tires are flat and looked like they haven't moved in years. Even the paint is faded on all of them. I would assume none of those cars are worth more than $4-500 a piece now. I drive past there a lot, but never really noticed it because I haven't been in the market for a car, so I don't look at car lots.

nobody will do anything about this. i complained about it 6 months ago and the city said they would contact the owner about it. nothing was ever done about it. sad to see all those cars rot away.

Uh oh. I talked to some people about this.

Supposedly if you own a car dealership, have a dealer's license, and pay the taxes on it, the cars can sit there for YEARS, and you can't get in trouble for it. Since the cars are "For Sale" and are technically unplated, they can basically sit on that lot for 40 years.

But why? I know exactly where you are talking about, nothing has changed. What would be the purpose of having a used car lot with cars no one wants to buy?
