Description

Transients have removed the cover to a lamp post between October 2018 and May 2019, as verified on Google Streetview to steal electricity. ODOT failed to fix the deficiency when they have upgraded this pole between 11/2-11/8 2020. ODOT was notified of this deficiency on 12/27/2020.

The upgrade was converting discharge lamp to LED. The did the upgrade, but didn't bother with fixing transient/vagrant related electricity theft related damage at the base.

Risk of exposure to 277v electricity due to transient activity.

Junction box security bolts missing. And it's no wonder why we have wide area outages as such things continue to occur with ever increasing transient electricity thieves.

Update: ODOT states they'll get on it. I will follow up later. Upon checking Google Street View, it has been shown that ODOT has allowed this dangerous conditions to remain since about October 2017.
