best I remember there is a traffic light at that intersection. can you not cross with the green light after traffic has cleared from Roanoke?

Technically, there is a pedestrian crossing light on the western corner crossing Forest Hill. However, it lights up at the same time as the left-turning traffic from Roanoke, and since that light is so short, the drivers turning left onto Forest Hill do not yield the right-of-way to pedestrians. There is also no sidewalk on that side of Roanoke, so you have to cross Roanoke to reach the light anyway. Things would be greatly improved if there were pedestrian crossing lights on both corners crossing Forest Hill and a dedicated time span just for pedestrians instead of trying to compete with the very impatient and/or uncaring traffic coming from Roanoke.

The solution would be to divert some of the traffic away from Forest Hill Avenue. This is a heavily residential area on both sides of the avenue and Forest Hill carries an enormous amount of traffic.

I get very dismayed that there is no way to cross Forest Hill safely especially for kids and families who want to enjoy the park when they come home from work and school. It is virtually impossible to cross the street to get there and it is certainly not safe.

There are no cross walks at the forest hill and Roanoke intersection. The pedestrian light has not worked there for at least four years. The whole stretch of forest hill avenue next tho the park has no cross walk. People are constantly dodging traffic in order to cross the street to get to or from the park. Or to cross the street from the bus stop. I have had to wait 15 minutes, after getting off the bus at Brookside, for a clearing in the traffic , to get home after work. Forest Hill avenue is not safe for commuters or park goers.

Cross at Brookside Rd and Foresthill twice daily and it is always a challenge during the week. Desperately need a crosswalk. Great park across the street but dangerous to get there.

The light that needs a pedestrian crossing is at Forest Hill and Roanoke, which is a little more descriptive of the exact location that is a problem than the address 3800 Forest Hill. This is a problem for everyone but especially parents with strollers, the elderly, or the handicapped.

Even when there is no bridge repair, it is hard to cross. Roanoke and Forest Hill is the only major intersection with NO pedestrian crossing lights. Yes you can wait and wait and wait to cross or the city could replace the pedestrian lights we once had.

This is a temporary situation while the bridge over Reedy Creek is repaired. People do cross Forest Hill Avenue there, but they have to wait until the traffic lights at Dundee and Roanoke Streets stop the cars. I cross there twice each day to walk my dog in the park.
