The police have in the past been responsive. I have not called them because it all happens so quickly. I have been taking pictures. But frankly I do have some fears for my personal safety in the long run.

It's not just Concord st. It's also Florence and Mansion St. The Police apparently know this, but if you talk to the about it they will deny it. The NHPD does not want to confront drug dealers because they don't want to be shot at (especially before their retirement). It's much easier, and fun, to harass, usually kids on mini bikes, small road bikes and confiscate ATVs. I've reported illegal serving of beer and marijuana on mansion st. a few years ago. I told the police if they came right away they would see 8 bikes on the lawn, and the adult and teenagers were in his garage. There was no action. The next day I phoned the NHPD and the officer at the desk said, "Oh, they must have been busy somewhere else."
And that's why people give up calling the police at all. I agree with Guest advice. You have to organize your block watches as one big bunch of bullies.

I have now been harrassed for pressuring the dealer. There is an open case. Please report this stuff to the NHPD. I don't want to do this alone. I have a young daughter and this is not a job for one.

Waterboarder, this sounds eerily familiar. A neighbor on Florence was visited by the police based on a complaint made by the dealer who was the subject of the neighbor's complaint. Turning the table so to speak. Makes me wonder if Beecher is a "branch" of the group off Florence (Dorchester.) Do you have a block watch? If not, start one ASAP. It is easier to act as a group and takes the pressure off one person. Show up as a group at the next ESMT meeting, Firehouse, 10/8 @ 7. Will try to rally the neighborhood folks to attend. The NHPD downplaying the issues off Florence sends the message to set up shop in the Cove; No one is watching.

Kudos to waterboarder for the effort. And I'm not being sarcastic. Stay safe, but keep up the pressure. If nothing else, if illegal activities are going on, they don't want to be noticed. Just by posting here you put them (possibly, if they read here) on alert that suspicious activity has been noticed and the police alerted. The more people that 'notice' and 'report' suspicious things may convince the perpetrators that's it's not in their own best interests to continue that activity in that area.
