After emerging from beneath the Metra tracks (in either direction) the bike lane shifts left of a parking lane. Automobiles park in the bike lane for hours at a time because it is not clear where the parking officially begins.

Usually the triangular "gray area" as a bike lane shifts around a parking lane has cross hashes. This would be a good solution here, perhaps along with a no parking sign.
Cars park illegally during business hours m-f and it creates a dangerous and unexpected pinch point just as cyclists emerge from a dark underpass.
