I agree. I reported this months ago to the state and they were supposed to look into it. Obviously they are too busy moving dirt around north of Pontiac Trail & M5 to fix the obvious hazzard that thousands of cars are forced to deal with every day. Make sure to wear you neck brace when hitting those things to protect yourself from whiplash or a herniated disk. Come on Road Commission(s) I have confidence you can figure this one out!

Contact CSX 800-232-0144 they take care of all the train track problems

Last winter a car ended up on its roof because of these tracks. I have had to replace the tie rods on my car because of the wear and tear everyday going over them.

These tracks do not belong to CSX. They were put in to accomodate the dinner train. They have completely removed them on Halsted and black topped the crossing so I have no idea why they do not do something about M5. What really ticks me off is that M5 was delayed by 2 years because of the stupid owner of the dinner train sued either Oakland County or the State...now we are taking in rear again...nice, real nice.

Imagine how I felt going over them on my motorcycle! Talk about having to hang on and pray!

meanwhile, instead of beating the bejesus out of your car, try braking slightly.

Still nothing has been done!

Braking even a little does nothing...besides studies have shown that stop and go traffic causes more accidents than traffic that moves at posted speeds. So braking to the point of going over them safely is a greater hazzard....so why can't they get fixed?
