I say officials should go in and ask for their identification then go from there. Then check for outstanding warrants. Vagrancy can’t be ignored. If a person chooses to be without taking any responsibility whatsoever doesn’t mean they can just stay on private property. Like you mentioned William will the property owner please stand up! Enough is enough. I’m sure the COV officials are shaking their heads too. Human rights overshadow the law(s).

The property owner doesnt care because they dont live here! No accountability on the COVs part. Im sure this reporting will be getting the same old blah blah blah excuses! This new encampment was dissolved last year after i reported it at least a dozen times! It started with 1 camp and grew to at least 6 or more. Fires where started, garbage started mounding up everywhere and it took over 6 months to a year to disband it. This after it was disbanded 6 months earlier. Once again the property owner given to much leeway! They, the COV, needs to impose such a heavy fine that maybe they will take some responsibility for their property! I know this wont happen, the city has no intestinal fortitude! All mouth! Like i have said in the past, laws being broken, city doesnt care, city hall could care less about what the town looks like, just drive around and gaze at all the filth and garbage that surrounds us. PITIFUL!!!!!!!

Would getting hold of a newspaper, a TV network help? I remember when having a camcorder was used to show at a meeting was somewhat more in your face type effort.

We might get media attention if we were opening a homeless navigation center because that would be a controversy. But unfortunately this is not a hot news story. Highlighting Vallejo’s problems & lack of services would be a 15 season reality show.

With all the campaigning that just took place was this even a hot topic?

Thanks for re-reporting this issue! Code Enforcement Officer Sidie has an active case on the property, case reference #CE19-0249, and is in the process of obtaining a warrant which may take anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of months.
