Description
The property owner started grading this property in Fall 2018 as preparation for new home construction. That grading has blocked the means for storm and surface water to drain from the upper portion of the property (closer to Northside Drive) along what was previously a small natural creek. As a result, the storm / surface water from the upper portion of the property now has nowhere to go and pools where the grading has created an earthen “dam”. That pool is now approximately 3 - 5 feet deep, 15’ wide and 40’ long. The only way for water to get out is via evaporation. Concerned about stagnation of the water, erosion and flooding, but also this is an attractive nuisance. It appears all grading and construction ceased in mid-December. Could be remedied by installing a culvert and running piping to allow storm / surface water to continue to lake.
