I concur whole heatedly with this request. I was exiting Southcross minutes after this accident happened last night and have though for many years a light was needed at this intersection. People take risks to get out of the developments onto Damn Neck b/c the traffic coming both ways is heavy in addition to the people exiting Southcross on both sides of Damn Neck. At rush hour its nearly impossible to get out safely unless someone let's you out. Also, traffic backs up quickly in the morning with parents dropping their children off at NCES. The crossing guard tries to manage it but none the less it is quite bad. Also if people are going straight across Southcross that sets the stage for an accident. The light definitely needs to be run off of a sensor so one isn't sitting there for 5 minutes with no traffic coming.
