Can we get the traffic signals in Westville to work properly and consistently? This will reduce light running and accidents.

I use this intersection often
The light there is not consistent ,many time I see others running out of patient and going through the red light
It takes SONSO LONG for it to turn green
THE TIMING MUST BE CHECKED

Thanks for the acknowledgment. It would be great to review all of the lights in the area. Part of the problem with our traffic signals is their placement beyond the intersection. If we want a motorist to stop at the intersection, the traffic signal should be located at the intersection rather than beyond it. The signals also seem to require motorists to carefully align their vehicles so that the road sensors detect the presence of the vehicle. The stop bars are meaningless to most motorists which contributes to the lights not properly functioning. The confusing part is this technology has been in use since the late 1980's and the newer enhancements seem to be very unreliable.
