Yes i agree also, there is a need though out kingston for less traffic lights and more stop signs.

Do not expect the City of Kingston to do a thing. I have been complaining to my Alderman and the Mayor for 5 years of the lack of a walk phase signal at the Washington Blvd & North Front Street intersection. The politicians are too busy counting the payoffs the receive , why worry about the citizens....unless it is time to be reelected

Look how long they hemmed and hawed about the light at North Front and Wall St. The people wanted a stop sign, but they threw the light back up. We only need one leader and retire the Aldermen!

The State DOT has nothing to do with those lights. They have an emblem and an ID number on State Lights. Thisone is controlled by the City of Kingston....get the facts straight. And Yes....Gallo is a tool.

Just put a 4 way stop. The light is an expense that makes no sense.

These are all city issues. I agree with stop sign (it would only be a three way stop since Fair is one way to the south). This and the stop sign on Main at Wall and Pedestrian crossing signs on key pedestrian crosswalks throughout uptown would all be a great improvement. Let's make it happen.

It's can't be a four way stop if traffic approaches in only three directions!

Let's perhaps change our terminology: It should be an ALL WAY STOP (which is what a 3-way stop would be here - or 4-way at most intersections).

Note that Alderman Hoffay stuck his neck out and got the light turned off at Wall and Front, but people complained and they ended up back with the light there. So there has been action on this at the city level.

The Safety Committee needs to add stop signs on Wall Street for both directions at Fair.

With all due respect to those who can help make a difference, thank goodness there are cooperative drivers in the downtown area. I have to rely on them, not the lights which cannot be seen in the daylight coming up Fair Street from the Plaza or the stop sign, which is just precautionary. This intersection continues to be confusing and dangerous. I don't know a perfect solution, but fixing the lights, if they need to stay, so that the drivers at the stop sign can see it would be very helpful.

Still taking my chances going through that intersection coming up from Hannaford's plaza in a car to continue on to fair street. Can't wait to get hit so I have evidence here for a law suit.

Ignoring public outcry for 600 days. Is this a ClickFix record?

I had to drive up to this intersection from the plaza, which I had been avoiding and using other routes, but I was in a pinch for time. I stayed to the left and still had to crank my neck to make sure the light was still solid red for the traffic on N. Front to my left before proceeding. I don't understand the logic. Who combines a light that can only be seen in two directions with a stop sign for the third?

honestly, i don't see ANY of these issues being remedied and I have to wonder about the purpose of this site. Who monitors this? Who responds?
The stop sign/traffic light insanity at Front & Fair is still and issue.
Having no stop sign at the top of Lucas and Green still an issue.
Not having a stop sign on Main St. at Wall St. by the church is a biggie too.

Aldermans used to monitor the site and I've seen issues resolved, or they would at least explain why the issue cannot be resolved. What does it matter at this point? Opened or closed...nothing has changed. That light is using electricity. So is the one that was finally changed to blinking at the bottom of the same street at the Plaza. Who is paying for that? How about Stop signs? Are their any Aldermans out there who can please explain? Thank you.

As for this use of this site - it is not a city site. The city obviously monitors it (and tries to shut down dissent).
