Thanks for reporting. I have referred this to the City’s Housing and Environmental Inspections Division. When they have responded I will update this issue.
2 large bags of trash dragged and left in front of Duncan Donuts. This was littering by the same people living behind Advanced Auto, taking trash from the International Foods open dumpsters. A simple lock and key at the end of the day would solve this issue.
Not only is this a City of Raleigh and Wake County issue, it is also the responsibility of our council members to make sure regulations are in place to prevent this type of littering and behavior, as well as fix the problem if it occurs. The City of Raleigh simply stating these are "private dumpsters" does nothing to solve the problem.
I created a new issue for this since the bags are still there 3 days later. the city acknowledged it today. not sure if they monitor the comments on here.

Please remember the property owner has until January 14 to bring this into compliance (see note above). This is standard practice. After the 14th if the problem continues to exist the inspector will arrange for the mitigation of the problem and charge the property owner for the cost. Inspectors are very good at following up on these things once a citation has been issued, but you need to give us time to allow due process to occur for the property owner to comply. Thanks.
city of Raleigh. my comment was to inform m. stone that I created a new issue because the comment they added was a different location and i was unsure whether the city understood that their comment referred to a new location. this original thread was about the area behind auto zone and international foods. I was informing m. stone that I had created a new issue to inform the city of the two bags of trash in front dunkin donuts (which was dealt with yesterday) thank you. i was not commenting on the issue of trash behind auto zone and international food. I understood the deadline for the property owner just trying to clarify so that the other issue could be taken care of (which it was)
